Luthadel Canals

Work created for Brotherwise, COSMERE RPG: MISTBORN Campaign.
AD: Matthew Demino

The image depicts the struggle and hard work of the Skaa on the canal in a world that has no mercy. They are pulling the barge through the dark ash filled water. Wanted to show their misery and broken spirits, but with a hint of courage and strength still.
Painting the Mistborn outer world is always a challenge due to the ash environment where everything always looks like if you are near a huge forest fire, dense unbreathable atmosphere.
